Two People Arrested at Francis Howell North High School Caucus

The St. Charles Caucus was shut down after about a half hour of dispute. Two men were arrested and the status of the caucus is unknown.

Two men were arrested at the St. Charles County Caucus on Saturday at .

and other law enforcement agencies, including St. Peters Park Rangers, St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department, St. Charles Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol, responded to a disturbance call at Francis Howell North High School involving more than 2,500 people.

The Republican Caucus was hosting an event at the school and hired two off-duty St. Peters Police Officers to work the event. At approximately 11 a.m., rules for the event were given to the crowd, which included no videotaping.

The crowd became upset with the rules and started to become verbally aggressive with event organizers and police officers at the scene. To deal with the unruly crowd, the officers at the Caucus requested more officers to respond to the scene for crowd control.

Event organizers made the decision to shut down the event and asked for police assistance to clear the building to prevent further problems and restore order.

Two people were arrested for trespassing after receiving numerous warnings to leave the school property. Both subjects were transported to St. Peters Justice Center where they were booked for Trespassing and released on a summons.

The subjects were identified as:

Brent Stafford

  • 45-year-old white male
  • From: O'Fallon, MO

Kenneth Suitter

  • 55-year-old white male
  • From: St. Charles County

Eugene Dorkes' childish insistence on no transparency (no cameras) and then announcing Matt Ehlen as the caucus chair were the fascist tactics that got the crowd agitated. Then they closed the caucus than admit total defeat of their wishes and called the cops in to really make sure it stays closed - even removing Brent Stafford when he tried to re-start the caucus in the parking lot! Watch out for some first amendment lawsuits springing forth against the SYSTEM. The people are rebelling against the system and they will eventually overcome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sKbpR24ASM

Bryan Spencer is the one who should have been arrested, along with Eugene Dokes! BOTH ARE CRIMINALS and denied those people the right to vote. Hilarious too that you guys CONVENIENTLY removed the comments of us going back and forth on here. You guys removed all my comments where you were being scolded for what happened.

The Republican party has gotten used to being able to do pretty much whatever it wants, like insulting others (women, minorities, etc.) and ignoring international agreements such as those concerning the treatment of prisoners. They stand up to "protect" huge tax breaks for the very rich, while average people pick up the tab for the banking bailout that was signed into law by Bush. So, why would candidates expect fair treatment, other maybe fair treatment for the "Etch-A-Sketch" frontrunner and flip-flop king Mitt Romney? The GOP has also tried to portray itself as the part with high morals, but then many have been caught in sex scandals and quite a few prominent leaders are on their third or fourth wife, with a mistress or two on the side. What a crock!
