Assault Weapons: An Invented Term

Why Missouri Democrats are brain dead.

State House Democrats in Missouri have introduced legislation that would give firearms owners 90 days to turn in assault weapon or large capacity magazines.

First of all, there is no such thing as an "assault weapon".  This is an invented term.  There are millitary grade weapons and many of these are fully automatic. I guess a more accurate term would be "military style" weapons.  They look like military grade weapons but they aren't even close.

The term "assualt weapon" is being thrown around by the president and lamestream media to scare people into thinking that it's possible to get a machine gun at Bass Pro Shop.

“I don’t know anyone in the sporting or hunting arena that goes out with an assault rifle,” said West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin.

Um...that's because they don't exists you dim bulb!  It's an invented term.

People who know nothing about guns are easily scared.  Some guns just look scary.  However, a .22 caliber rifle shot at a bed sheet hanging 50 feet away wouldn't even pass through it.

In fact, if you tried to use a .22 caliber handgun to defend yourself in a tough situation, you will just end-up pissing-off your assailant.

These are the very same AR-15's Walmart was selling before everyone ran out and bought them.  The same guns President Obama and the Dim-Ocrats wants to ban.

Everyone talks about how "Taxation Without Representation" is the cause of the American Revolution.  Well, there were really  a lot of different reasons.  One BIG reason had to do with guns

The British gun control program that helped start the American Revolution included the 1774 import ban on firearms and gunpowder and the 1774-75 confiscations of firearms and gunpowder.

Do the lawmakers in Missouri seriously think citizens won't rise up on their hind legs again and revolt against the government?

Keep in mind only 1/3 of Americans supported a revolution against Britian.  It doesn't take everyone, just a critical mass.
