Tense Times

I don't want to see a racially charged general election in 2012. But I'm preparing for it.

Tea Party followers have been called a lot of things recently. The most annoying thing they have been called is "racist." If any Tea Party member questions anything about Obama, this is the response given by his followers.

Luckily there is a conservative candidate that shows promise, is doing well in the polls and because he's a black American, will be able to squelch all racist accusations. I'm referring to Herman Cain.

It's truly sad the color of a person's skin may influence voters. The GOP won't voice it audibly but behind closed doors, they are considering the possibility of putting one black American against another in order to prevent the race card from being an issue in 2012.  It breaks my heart that our politics would open this door. But what are the other choices? Ideally there may be many.  Practically, there are very few.
