Shame on Six Flags

It's sometimes difficult to get children interested in reading books when video games and the internet come knocking at the door.

Six Flags has a program called Reading Success where students can earn a free ticket to the park if they read a total of six hours.

However, there's a catch.  If you are over 48 inches tall, you are considered by Six Flags to be an adult and they won't allow you to use your free ticket, even if you qualified through their reading program.

This happened to a fourth-grader from the Fort Zumwalt School District just last week.  She participated in the program, earned her free ticket and went to Six Flags only to be told she couldn't use the ticket because she was too tall.

So, I would like to encourage as many people as possible to contact Six Flags and let them know how you feel about this.
