YPT to Perform ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ March 15-17 and 22-24 at SCC

The Young People's Theatre of St. Charles Community College will present "The Scarlet Pimpernel" March 15-17 in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus.

The Young People’s Theatre of St. Charles Community College will present “The Scarlet Pimpernel” March 15-17 in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus.

The show will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 15-16; 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, March 16-17; 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 22-23; and 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, March 23-24. Tickets are $9 for all ages. 

“The Scarlet Pimpernel” is a tale of intrigue, romance and hilarity that is set during the French Revolution. A small group of British men, led by the mysterious “Scarlet Pimpernel,” rescue French aristocrats from the guillotine. Everyone becomes curious to know the identity of the dashing hero – including an emissary of the newly established French Republic, sent by Robespierre himself. Diversions, blackmail, swordplay and tomfoolery ensue as people try to solve the mystery.

Cast members from St. Peters include Cadence, Carlin and Sam Bippen, Bailey Blessing, Jenni and Thomas Fischer, Eric Hahn, Andrew Henke, Jessica Kahn, Zoe Meier, Rain Northrop, Gillian Pendel, Braden and Mitchell Stille, Rachel Weidig and Sarah York.

Cast members from St. Charles include Brock Birkner, Molly Carl, Zac Cary, Andrew Feigenbaum, Sean Gundersen, Abby Turner and Cindy Woodson.

Cast members from O’Fallon include Joelle and Alia Aaron, Amanda Blythe, Jacob Feldt, Seth Gleason, Taryn Herbst, Grayson Jostes, Danny Kellett, Becca Krauss, Annie Marion, Jordan Marshall, Colton Savory, Brooke Villhard and Curtis Waligurski.

Cast members from Weldon Spring include Emma Chesbrough and Hannah Haedike.

Cast members from Dardenne Prairie include Troyer Coultas and Presley Weber.

Additional cast members include Jimmy Coogan of Lake St. Louis, Renee Voteau of Chesterfield, Ben Stanley of Cottleville and Jordan Oelze of St. Charles County.

The Young People’s Theatre is a performing arts program by kids and their families for kids and their families produced by the SCC Corporate and Community Development Division.
