Alternative Spring Break (Service Projects)

Need a nature break? Or a stay-cation with impact?
We have Alternative Spring Break opportunities that may interest you!

The first day of spring is just around the corner, and anyone who's eager to get outdoors is invited to join in activities to benefit the thousands of visitors who enjoy taking a nature break in O'Fallon's parks. Students, faculty and families can participate in this Alternative Spring Break, as well as scouts, church groups, school clubs, organizations, and others who want to join in!  Eco-friendly activities may include:

- plant decorative grasses (prevents erosion)
- create hanging flower baskets (beautify landscape)
- mulch trees and flower beds (protects root systems)
- spread wood fiber in playgrounds (children's safety)
- paint street signs, fence railings, and other projects.

PRE-REGISTRATION is required so projects and supplies can be prepared.
