Liberty High School Construction Progressing Well Despite Weather

The new Wentzville School District high school on Sommers Road in O'Fallon is slated to open in the fall.

Liberty High School, the third high school in the Wentzville School District currently under construction on Sommers Road in O'Fallon, is progressing well despite recent weather issues.

Bruce Dell, of Hoener Associates, Inc., presented a construction update to the school board at the Feb. 25 meeting.

Despite the inclement weather, the 100 hall is "essentially complete," and work is progressing on interior finishes. Exterior brick has been installed and cleaned, and windows installed, Dell said.

A future stairway and landing have a partial steel structure, as do the 300 and 400 halls. Electrical work is progressing on the 500 hall music rooms and media center.

Dell said that there should be no problems in making the completion date for Liberty High to open to its first freshman class in the fall.
