5 Things to Know About the Alligator's Creek Triathlon

The 11th Annual Alligator's Creek Triathlon will be held on Sunday, Aug. 11. Here are some things that you might not have known about participating:

  1. The triathlon consists of a 300-yard serpentine swim at Alligator's Creek, an 18.6 mile bike course and a 5K run through O'Fallon.
  2. You can register online, and the the last day to register is Aug. 1.
  3. Bike riders must wear helmets.
  4. If you get held up by a train, your time will not be adjusted.
  5. Participants are treated to a free meal, an award ceremony and a raffle.
