Wing Ding Spices up the Night

Check out photos from BCI's annual Wing Ding fundraiser Thursday, June 7 at T.R. Hughes Ballpark.

Thousands poured into T.R. Hughes Ballpark to munch on endless chicken wings at this year's fourteenth annual BCI Wing Ding competition.

Over a dozen local restaurants donated their services to the fundraiser and provided guests with tastes of their best food during the event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Returning competitors included 2011 “Best Wings” champ Quintessential Dining and Nightlife from St. Charles and Ballyhoo, the “Non-Traditional and First-Time Restaurant” award winner.

As guests lingered through the aisles of the ballpark, sounds of the Smash Band permeated the stadium.  Smash Band returned for a second year to entertain guests for the entire evening.

All proceeds from the event go towards BCI. BCI is a non-profit contract packaging company that provides productive and fulfilling employment opportunities for adults with disabilities, and the Wing Ding is just one of several events throughout the year to help bring awareness and raise funds for their cause.
