Chaz Glotta - FZN Basketball
On Friday, January 24, 2014 - The Fort Zumwalt School District honored Senior - Chaz Glotta on becoming the first player in the Fort Zumwalt School District to score over 2000 points in his high school basketball career.
Chaz was presented with a framed Certificate of Achievement along with a commemorative basketball to mark the historic occasion. District officials participating in the event included: the Superintendent of Schools - Dr. Bernard DuBray, FZN Principal - Joe Sutton, FZN Assistant Principal - Gary Pohlman, FZN Basketball Coach - Charles Glotta, along with the Glotta family.
Chaz went on to score 35 points in the Panther's victory over Hazelwood West. Currently he trails only former GAC stand-outs, Ryan Robertson (SCW - 95') and Tony Wallace (Wentzville-Holt - 79'), on the all-time GAC Conference, which established play in 1973, scoring list.
Chaz, the 2013 GAC Central "Player of the Year" has already signed to play basketball at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale.
