FZN Boys Basketball Preview

The 2013 - 2014 version of the FZN Panthers will boast one of the area's top teams as they return over 90% of their scoring offense and assists from last season's league (GAC - Central) and district champions. The Panthers return a high octane offense coupled with improved defensive play. The will be led by senior standout, Chaz Glotta, who has signed to play college basketball with Division 1 - SIU-Carbondale. Last season Chaz led the St. Louis area in scoring by averaging 26 ppg. He was the GAC Central "Player of the Year" in addition to being named "All-State". Also back for the Panthers at point guard is junior Zach Glotta, who has been a double figure scorer for his career and was one of the top players in the area in assists and FT's last season. The Panthers also return two year starter Kris McCann (10.5 ppg), Ryan Daniel (11), Blake Buls (11),  and Justin Fitzpatrick (11) who all should all make strong contributions this season. Newcomers to the varsity line-up include Bryan Hauser (12), Jared Jadwin (11), Tre' Johnson (11), Nick Navatto (11), Brenden Orf (11), and Austin Schwerdt (10).

The Panthers open their season tonight at Lindenwood against conference foe Fort Zumwalt East. Tip-Off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
