FZN Boys Basketball

The FZN boys basketball team is currently on a season high six game winning streak heading into their final regular season contest this Friday (2/28) night. During the latest stretch of games the Panthers were able to turn around two games against opponents, Fort Zumwalt South and Washington, who had previously defeated them earlier in the season. In addition the team's most recent victory was over highly regarded McCluer North, a team that knocked the Panthers out of the playoffs a season ago. Currently the Panthers sport an overall record of 16 - 8 (5 - 2 GAC Central).

As has been the case all year long the Panthers have been led by the stellar play of Chaz Glotta, who earlier this season established himself as the most prolific scorer in the history of FZN basketball. Chaz is currently averaging 24.1 points per game which ranks sixth in the St. Louis metro area. The team's recent success can also be attributed to the return of Zach Glotta to the starting line-up. Zach was bothered with an injured foot through the middle portion of the schedule, forcing him to have limited play at times this season. He is currently leading the St. Louis metro area with a 92.2 % free throw average.

This Friday (2/28) the Panthers will host conference rival, Wentzville-Holt, in their final regular season game. Seniors - Chaz Glotta, Blake Buls, and Bryan Hauser will play in their final game at North High. The game vs. Holt will also be FZN's annual "Paint it Pink" game. A night with the goal of raising funds and awareness for cancer research. A 7:00 tipoff is scheduled.
