FZN Softball

The Varsity Softball team's fine season came to a close last Saturday as they were defeated in state quarterfinal action by Parkway North (5 - 3 - 8 innings). The team finished with an overall record of 23 - 5, marking the finest season for the program in over two decades!

Senior - Abby Tillostson was named Co-GAC Central "Player of the Year". Abby batted an impressive .526 with 5 HR and 35 RBI. This was in addition to her solid play behind the plate all year as the team's catcher.

Four other Panthers (Shelby Clark - Pitcher, Abby Hlavaty - Pitcher, Taylor Dames - IF, and Sarah Langdon - OF) were also named 1st team "All-Conference".

Four more Panthers (Katlyn Garza - IF, Lauren King - IF, Allysa Feldewert - OF, and Hannah Murphy - OF) were placed on the "All-Conference" 2nd team.

Coach Steve Siebert was named GAC Central "Coach of the Year" for the second straight season.

The Panthers had eight players (Abby Tillostson .526, Taylor Dames .457, Sarah Langdon .422, Nicole Pitts . 366, Katlyn Garza .360, Hannah Murphy . 354, Andrea Gowen . 314, and Lauren King . 301) who hit .300 or better!

Pitchers - Shelby Clark (13 - 2 - 1.29 ERA) and Abby Hlavaty (9 - 3 - 2.43 ERA) were two of the best in the St. Louis metro area.

During the last two season the Panthers have been an impressive 43 - 11, and 75 - 27 over the last four seasons.

The team will look to the returning team members as they hope to continue their recent trend of success next season.
