The Varsity wrestlers suffered their first dual meet loss of the season last week as the Panthers fell to the Holt Indians 43 - 25. The Panthers won 6 of the 14 contested bouts. Panther grapplers, Alex Gowen and Levi Kessels, both secured falls against Holt. The Panthers now stand at 7 - 1 on the dual season.

Last Saturday the Panther grapplers finished 3rd at the 24 team St. Charles Invitational. The Panthers were led by Shaun Beeman (106 lbs.), who claimed the sole title for the Panthers. Levi Kessels (2nd - 170 lbs.), Austin Graeler (3rd - 126 lbs.), Trenton Jaco (4th - 132 lbs.), Josh Stockton (4th - 285 lbs.), and Mason Seegar (5th - 220 lbs.) also earned medals for the Panthers.

The Panthers return to the mat tomorrow night (1/23) as they head to conference rival, Washington for a dual meet starting at 6:00 pm. This weekend the grapplers head to Columbia as they will participate in the Hickman Tournament, which begins on Friday (1/24) and concludes on Saturday (1/25)afternoon.
