Winter Sports Update

Boys Basketball

The Boys are currently 6 - 4 on the season. The team lost a competitive game to the #1 ranked small-school in the St. Louis area, Althoff, 69 - 60 at the Cancer vs. Coaches Shootout held at the Scottrade Center last Thursday, before rebounding to post consecutive wins over Chatham Glenwood (IL) 67 - 56 and Whitfield 52 - 45. The duo of Chaz and Zach Glotta are averaging 40 points a game for the Panthers.

The Boys are currently playing in the CBC Tournament. The team has advanced to the semi-finals where they will play the host school for a 6:30 pm match-up this Wednesday (1/15).

Girls Basketball

The Girls also split their last two games of the season. Last Friday the team fell to conference rival Fort Zumwalt East 52 - 39, before defeating Warrenton 46 - 43 on Monday. Abby Haler, Tori Nesslage, and Kylie Jones all made strong contributions to the Panther victory.

The Girls return to action this Wednesday (1/15) as the play in the semi-final round of the Warrenton tournament. The Panthers will play former conference foe, Duchesne, with a tip-off scheduled for 6:00 pm.

Wrestling

The Panther grapplers finished 7th in the highly competitive GAC tournament last weekend. Seven individual team members earned medals at the tournament including - Shaun Beeman (2nn - 106), Austin Graler (5th - 126), Trenton Jaco (6th - 132), Levi Kessels (4th - 170), Chase Smith (4th - 195), Mason Seegar (5th - 220) and Josh Stockton (5th - 285).

The Panthers return to the mat this Wednesday (1/15) as they travel to the defending conference champion, Holt, for a 6:00 pm match.
