Sort donations for youth at 

  • 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 11, 1710 South Brentwood Boulevard, Brentwood.
  • Volunteers will paint three storage rooms at [RE]FRESH: A Fashion Coalition, which is a program of the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition. Register here. 

Work the RECESS event for youth in foster-care system

  • 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at in Brentwood.
  • Volunteers are needed to work a RECESS event for youth in the foster-care system. RECESS gives young adults a chance to play like a kid on a mechanical surfboard, play human foosball and other games. Volunteers will clean up after the event. Register here.

Help out with the Run for the Chocolate Race sponsored by Big Shark

  • Race registration opens at 7 a.m. Feb. 12. The race starts at 9 a.m. and goes from Laclede's Landing in downtown St. Louis to Crown Candy Kitchen and back. Email mike@bigshark.com for more information on how to help.

 a resale shop which benefits Youth in Need, is in need of volunteers. Volunteers greet customers, maintain visual standards in the store and help tag and display merchandise on the sales floor. People with special skills, flexible schedules or an interest to volunteer are welcome to join our volunteer program. Volunteers enjoy a store discount based on the number of hours they give each month. For general information, call 314-469-2024 or come by Potentials at 12392 Olive Blvd in Creve Coeur (behind TGI Fridays). Volunteer applications can be found on the Potentials website.

Relay For Life of Central St. Charles is seeking new participants and teams for the 12-hour overnight relay-style fundraising event July 13 and 14. Teams will participate at Lutheran School in St. Peters from 6 p.m. July 13 to 6 a.m. July 14. Cost is $10 to register. They are also looking for new committee members and volunteers the day of the event. The kickoff meeting is next Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m. at .

Riverside Shakespeare Company, which puts on a Shakespearean play in  each June, will need volunteer help leading up to the event and during the show. To volunteer, send an email to Chris Ferguson  at riversideshakespeare@gmail.com.

  • Set construction will start June 7, and volunteers are needed to help paint and build. Volunteers will be needed to set up and tear down during tech rehearsal week which will start around June 14.
  • During the performance, volunteers are needed to work the concession stands in the evenings. The play will run during the evenings of June 21, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and July 1.
  • Now, the group is looking for help locating corporate sponsors and selling advertising for the program.
