At this week's Board of Directors meeting, your Chamber of Commerce has officially voted to partner with the Jaycee organization to carry out its mission, while helping the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce and its membership by offering leadership, management, and community service training for our young professional community.

For 97 years, the United States Junior Chamber (JC) has been providing leadership skills and training to young professionals through community service. O’Fallon in particular is lucky to have a chapter with rich history of community service. In 1969 the O’Fallon Jaycees were among the first in the nation to erect a monument in honor of U.S. soldiers killed in the Vietnam War, the Omer J. Dames War Memorial.

Our Jaycees have built playground equipment, hosted blood drives, and donated thousands of dollars and man-hours to make our community a better place, all while building the leaders of today and tomorrow. Many of you reading this letter may be former or current Jaycees. I encourage all of you to look around your office – and at yourself-  to identify the future leaders of your organization and our community, for whom the Jaycee organization can be a great value.

The Jaycee Mission: To develop leadership skills within each member and local chapter by utilizing the Jaycee Concept of Management Development, Individual Development, Community Development and Membership Development.

The Jaycee Creed:

We Believe:
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That earth's great treasure lies in human personality;
And that service to humanity is the best work of life.
