OASIS Named 2012 Favorite St. Louis Nonprofit by Patch Readers

The Clayton-based organization provides low-cost educational programming for older St. Louis residents.

Clayton-based St. Louis has been named Favorite Nonprofit in the competition.

The organization provides a variety of low-cost educational programming for older St. Louis residents. It is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

A collection of educators and volunteers led by Marylen Mann started the organization. Its president is Marcia Kerz.

Quoting from the OASIS website:

"Over the years, OASIS grew into a nationally recognized organization, winning dozens of awards from organizations and agencies like AARP, the U.S. Administration on Aging and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services."
