It probably took 3 judges to get them to grant the warrants they were looking for. And the AttorneyRead More Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC) is the "bar" you are looking for. You will find specific rules there and though anyone can lodge complaints, and all complaints are heard, the accused members of the bar have a right to defend themselves and their actions. The attorney for the arrested kid can file for sanctions, too, and move to suppress the information obtained by the warrant if it is judged to have been granted erroneously.

Here you go: On March 14, Judge Kirk Schoebein signed off on a warrant seeking subscriberRead More information from Twitter. On March 29, two days after Twitter gave police the information they requested, Judge Lisa Wilson approved a warrant for Comcast to find out where the person who used the Internet to access Twitter lived. On April 1, Elliott was identified as the Comcast subscriber for 1220 N. University St., the affidavit said. Two weeks later, Judge Kim Kelley approved the warrant to search the house. Police seized several iPhones, two Xbox video game consoles, computers, pieces of mail, drug paraphernalia, alleged marijuana and digital memory cards. It is difficult to not mention that global warming passed us by and left us out in the cold. On aRead More serious note I have made the casual observation, not a scientific study, that most people who are global warming/climate change zealots have very limited knowledge of rigorous disciplines like meteorology, astronomy, geology, physics, mathematics, etc. For the most part they form their opinions based on what they hear from high profile politicians and celebrities. I have a university physics and an engineering background and have never had any inclination to waste time and resources trying to change the climate. If anyone is serious about seeking truth rather than proving their position I strongly urge them to go to the Reasons To Believe website, reasons.org At RTB there is a wealth of information available from Dr. Hugh Ross and other PhD astronomers and physicists. In closing I will quote from an Australian climate website scientist who said something to the effect "Climate changes, always has and always will."

The GOP thinks nothing is their fault so they must do nothing to fix the problem. Yes if the UnitedRead More States defaults on it's bills it will effect everyone in the World. Congress has decided that they will not pass any kind of budget so as to force the end of the Affordable Health Care Act. Thus we end the country as we know it on the world stage. Once we default there is no way to turn back time and fix the problem. Also once we default what happens to the soldiers overseas? As usual the GOP does not care.
