Lodge for O'Day Park? O'Fallon to Hold Public Meeting to Discuss

City staff is working with an engineering firm to decide the best location in Civic Park to build a new facility and take a look at the possibility of expanding or enclosing portions of Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center.
Crews began tearing down O'Fallon's old Civic Hall building Thursday. The O'Fallon City Council decided last April that the condemned building should be replaced and not renovated. O’Fallon Director of Parks and Recreation Cindy Springer said city staff is working with an engineering firm to decide the best location in Civic Park to build a new facility and take a look at the possibility of expanding or enclosing portions of Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center. The city hopes to have a final design by June, along with cost estimates. No date is yet identified for construction to begin.
