Darius L. Walls, of O'Fallon, suffered minor injuries after he was hit by a car along Interstate 70 near the Highway K exit. The three-car crash was a result of a semi-truck hitting a car parked on the shoulder of I-70.
A car with no occupant parked on the shoulder of eastbound Interstate 70 was struck Tuesday evening, injuring a pedestrian, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. At approximately 9:25 p.m., a 2000 Pontiac Firebird was left unoccupied on I-70 near the Highway K intersection in O'Fallon. The highway patrol was unable to identify the owner of the car. A 2012 International Prostar semi-truck driven by Patrick Sheppard, 42, of Ethel, LA, was eastbound also and struck the disabled car. The Firebird then struck a pedestrian, Darius L. Walls, 23, of O'Fallon. A third vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Joseph J. Yates, 25, of O'Fallon, attempted to avoid hitting the disabled Firebird but ending up striking Sheppard's truck. …

According to St. Charles County Missouri Scanner Traffic on Facebook, the accident occurred a little after noon.
O'Fallon emergency crews responded to a mulit-car accident at Mexico Loop Road and Highway K on Thursday afternoon. According to St. Charles County Missouri Scanner Traffic on Facebook, O'Fallon Firefighters and St. Charles County Ambulance medics responded around noon. O'Fallon Police said two subjects were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Robert Staufenbiel was in his semi-truck on I-70 when a utility truck, salting the highway, failed to notice the stopped semi and hit the towed unit of the truck. Staufenbiel was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A 51-year-old St. Peters man was seriously injured in a car accident along Interstate 70 Monday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, Robert Staufenbiel in his 2002 International 4900 semi-truck on I-70, near the Bryan Road exit in O'Fallon, when a utility truck salting the highway failed to notice the stopped semi and hit the towed unit of the semi. Staufenbiel was taken to St. Joseph East Hospital by St. Charles County ambulance. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

Drivers are advised to look for alternate routes.
The westbound lanes of Highway 40/I-64 near the Boone Bridge are currently blocked due to a traffic accident involving several vehicles. Chesterfield Police Capt. Steve Lewis said traffic is backed up considerably and advised drivers via Twitter to look for alternate routes. Emergency crews are working to clear the scene, Lewis said, but there are no estimates for when traffic will be able to get through again. Fox2's John Pertzborn reported via Twitter that the accident involved two tractor-trailers on the Boone Bridge, one of which jacknifed, according to KMOX reporter Brian Kelly. No injuries reported yet.

A St. Louis County man led O’Fallon Police on a meth-fueled, high-speed chase Saturday, starting at Veterans Memorial Parkway at Downing Street and ending about 15 miles away in Lincoln County. Officers said the man ran red lights, drove into oncoming traffic, nearly striking vehicles, and went as much as 50 mph over the speed limit. Jacob Stafford, 19, of the 3000 block of Calvert Avenue in Breckenridge Hills, was charged Monday with resisting arrest, creating a substantial risk of injury or death. An O'Fallon woman was injured in a two-car crash on Highway K at Highway 40 on Monday, Oct. 22. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Amy Caldwell, 21, O'Fallon, was driving northbound on Highway K at 2:53 p.m. When Caldwell stopped her 2008 Toyota Yaris for traffic, she was rear-ended by a 1999 Lexus Es 300 driven by Michael Friedman, 44, Fenton. The report states both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Caldwell suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital West by St. Charles County Ambulance.

Louisiana, MO., resident Arthur Johnson died in a crash Wednesday afternoon near O'Fallon.
A truck driver was killed Wednesday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash near O'Fallon on the Salt River Road entrance ramp heading to northbound Highway 79. The crash took place just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday. The driver, 58-year-old Arthur Johnson, of Louisiana, Mo., was pronounced dead by a St. Charles County Ambulance medic at 3:16 p.m. According to the crash report, Johnson lost control of his 2011 Peterbilt Tractor on the entrance ramp. The truck ran off the road and overturned, coming to a rest on the passenger side. Johnson was wearing his seat belt in the crash. No other vehicles were involved.

An O'Fallon man is hospitalized after his car crashed into a tree on Tuesday night. According to KSDK, Brelynn Britton, 27, was driving southbound on Route T, near New Melle, around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, when his car went off the road. KSDK reports Britton's car slammed into a tree and he was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.

One driver has died after a head-on collision in a multi-car crash early Monday in St. Peters.
St. Peters Police have released the name of the man killed in a head-on collision early Monday morning. Jeffrey Conway, 27, of Florissant, was killed when his 2004 Monte Carlo crashed on Salt River Road on Monday. Conway was taken by ambulance to Barnes-Jewish St. Peters where he was pronounced dead. Police also released the names of the other drivers involved in the crash. Carol Motley, of Winfield, was the driver of the Chevy Trailblazer that was first struck in the crash. She sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital. Gregory Tucker, of O'Fallon, was the driver of a GMC Sonoma in the crash. He was released from the hospital with minor injuries. An O'Fallon woman suffered minor injuries in a car crash early Aug. 31. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jean Gore, 49, of O'Fallon, was driving eastbound on Route N near Lake Saint Louis Boulevard in her 2003 Dodge Durango around 10:53 a.m. The report said Gore struck the side of a 2000 Ford Taurus, driven by Austin Sneed, 16, of Lake Saint Louis, after the car failed to stop at a stop sign. Both sufferred minor injuries and were transported to St. Joseph Hospital West. According to the report, both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
