National Children's Book Week is May 2 - May 8. The St. Charles City-Country Library District suggests that you celebrate it by reading books as a family. Check out the wide variety of children's programming available at the St. Charles City-County Library District's branch libraries in May. With almost a foot of snow on the ground, it’s not surprising that most O'Fallon schools are closed today. I appreciate that the administrators give the safety and well-being of our children top priority. However, many of us have already had four or five snow days, and it’s only January. There are still eight weeks left of winter, so with our recent weather history there is a lot of possibility for even more snow days! I don’t know about all of you, but honestly, I am pretty sick of snow. We’ve had some sort of wintery mix every week in O’Fallon for the past five weeks.
