Patrick Walsh was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison for the DWI crash that killed two people and injured five in September 2011. Walsh pleaded guilty Nov. 15 to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and five counts of second-degree assault. “Unlike Mr. Brueggen and Mr. McLemore, you will have an opportunity to reclaim your life. They won’t have that opportunity,” St. Louis County Circuit Court Judge Michael T. Jamison told Walsh before he handed down the sentence. Police estimated that Walsh was driving about 100 mph when his car rear-ended the Chevy Tahoe, which flipped several times. A St. Charles County Sheriff's Deputy said the Randy K. Voerg Jr and the boy argued and Voerg hit the youth in the eye.
A 17-year-old St. Charles County man is accused of punching a 13-year-old boy in the eye on March 8. Randy K. Voerg Jr., 17, was charged March 11 with third-degree assault. His address was listed as being in the first block of Barberry Lane in St. Charles County near O’Fallon. A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy reported that Voerg and the child had a verbal argument in the 100 block of Tee Kay Drive in St. Charles County near O'Fallon. Voerg became enraged, crossed the street and twice punched the 13-year-old in the eye, according to the report. The boy’s eye was swollen and bruised, the deputy said. Steven Timothy Scott has pleaded guilty to 13 charges in less than two years in St. Charles, O'Fallon, Wentzville and St. Charles County.
A man pleaded guilty Feb 26 to crimes that included: Steven Timothy Scott, 20, of St. Charles, also will serve sentences for damaging businesses and cars in Wentzville and St. Charles County. He had been on probation after pleading guilty to those crimes in 2011. Scott has pleaded guilty to 13 charges in less than two years. The longest sentence is 10 years, and the sentences will be served concurrently. Scott pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, and St. Charles Circuit Court Judge Richard Zerr sentenced him to seven years in prison. While in jail awaiting trial on other charges, Scott and Robert E. Martin II punched and kicked another inmate, elbowing him repeatedly in the face. An O’Fallon man faces a criminal charge for punching his 15-year-old stepson in the face Jan. 11. Barry Allen Yardley, 37, of the first block of Chip Drive in O’Fallon, was charged Monday with third-degree assault. O’Fallon Police said Yardley punched his stepson in the face twice on Jan. 11. The officer said the teenager’s face had two red marks and minor swelling. The teen and his mother said they feared Yardley would cause them further harm when he gets out of jail. Police said Yardley has an arrest history for violent crimes. Yardley pleaded guilty Sept. 24 to violating a protection order for an adult as a second offense, and third-degree domestic assault.
