Zumwalt South Girls Down Francis Howell
Bulldogs claw their way back for the victory.
The Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs overcame a slow start Thursday night to pick up a 48-37 victory over the Francis Howell Lady Vikings. The host Vikings jumped out to a 22-6 lead after the first quarter. However, Zumwalt South began to use a full court press in the 2nd quarter, and it paid off as the Lady Bulldogs outscored Howell 14-10 in the 2nd quarter. Nonetheless, the Lady Vikings still had a comfortable 32-20, halftime lead. The third quarter proved to be pivotal as the Bulldogs continued to use their high-pressure defense and outscored the Vikings 17-2, and South led it 37-34 going into the fourth.
