Burger King Is the Worst When It Comes to Drive-Thrus, Study Shows

A new study out by QSR Magazine rates restaurants based on their drive-thru quality. Wendy's and Chick-fil-A came in as the best while Burger King got poor marks across the board.

If you've driven through a Wendy's drive-thru recently, you've been graced with some of the best rate of service and accuracy in the business.  That's according to a new stidy from QSR Magazine, which unveiled its annual drive-thru study on Tuesday. According to the magazine, the study determines the leading restaurant chains in several categories of drive-thru operations, such as wait time, service time, order accuracy, exterior appearance and speaker clarity. A group of six core chains were included in the study: Burger King, Chick-fil-A, Krystal, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s.  Restaurants were visited between the lunch hours of 11 am and 2:30 pm, and between the dinner hours of 4 pm and 7 pm. The findings may surprise those that …

I don't know about all the Burger Kings but I know the ones that are owned by JRG Management are that bad due to the owners cutting out vacations, cutting saleries, longer working hours and less people working in the stores. Now the children of the owners never received any cuts in pay, and they continue to get all their paid vacations they even hire daughter-in-laws and lay off committed …   more ›

Chick-Fil-A Ending Support for Anti-Same Sex Marriage Groups

Given the support the fast food restaurant's O'Fallon location received when the crisis first erupted, what do you think of the company's decision?

Major news outlets reported Wednesday that Chick-Fil-A is backing down from its controversial support of groups that oppose same-sex marriage. The O'Fallon location of the fast-food eatery was swarmed with supporters during the height of the controversy in early August when the company's CEO Dan Cathy described his definition of marriage as "bibile-based" and traditional. The noise from the dust-up has died down, but Chick-Fil-A was apparently still feeling enough pressure to reverse course. From the AP: Chick-fil-A issued a statement to that effect Wednesday when asked to comment on a claim earlier in the day that the company had stopped funding organizations that oppose same-sex marriage. Chicago Alderman Joe Moreno announced the alleged…

If companies are people and people vote with dollars then the destination of the restaurant’s donations are open for public debate. It very well should be an issue as to where peoples’ hard-earned money goes after the chicken goes down their gullet. This issue has made our little feathered friend the modern martyr as Chick-fil-A laughs all the way to the bank. Watch the poultry be nailed to the …   more ›

Chick-Fil-A and Gay Marriage: Do You Support the Chain's Stance?

Even if you disagree, do you agree the company has a right to take a stand? Will you still "eat mor chikin"?

The nationwide media storm over the anti-gay-marriage stance by the president of Chick-fil-A came home to roost in the St. Louis area last week as local stores saw record traffic and huge crowds. Most of the visitors said they supported the stance taken by Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy in the Biblical Recorder on gay marriage. Later, in an interview on the topic, Cathy said: "As it relates to society in general, I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than You as to what constitutes a marriage.'" On Wednesday, a day conservative commentators dedicated toward showing support for Chick-fil-A, crowds gathered at the restaurant in the Chesterfield Valley and in Arnold. The …

O'Fallon Patch Readers Discuss 'Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day'

The O'Fallon Chick-Fil-A had long lines on Wednesday afternoon. We asked readers on Facebook what they thought of the recent controversy surrounding the chain.

Supporters of gay rights called for the boycott of Chick-fil-A restauraunts after the company's president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press last month that the corporation is "guilty as charged" for backing "the biblical definition of a family," according to the Huffington Post. Huffington Post reports former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister, declared Wednesday, Aug. 1 as "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day." The drive-thru lines at O'Fallon's Chick-fil-A were long on Wednesday afternoon  on "appreciation day." O'Fallon Patch asked Facebook readers: Did you go? What do you think of the recent controversy surrounding the chain? Readers Respond on Facebook: Mike Nunnery: I appreciate both the right for Truett Cathey to voice his …
