Man Charged With Choking, Hitting Wife as Many As Ten Times

Police say Jermaine Hill choked his wife and hit her nearly a dozen times before throwing a cell phone at a wall so hard that it embedded in the dry wall. Hill then told police they'd have to come back again when he is released.

A Dardenne Prairie man is accused of attacking his wife Saturday at their home. Jermaine Hill, 36, of the 7300 block of Pierside Drive in Dardenne Prairie, was charged Monday with third-degree domestic assault. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said Hill grabbed his wife by the neck, threw her into a wall and then down onto their bedroom floor between 1:25 p.m. and 1:47 p.m. on April 28. According to the report, Hill then choked the woman and hit her about 10 times in the face, arms and side. Police said he threw her cell phone hard enough to embed it into the drywall. Man Pepper Sprayed After Trying to Bite Cops

A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy said Mathew Charleville kicked him and tried to bite a second deputy while he was handcuffed in a patrol car.

A St. Charles County man is accused of kicking and trying to bite Sheriff’s deputies who arrested him on an outstanding warrant. Mathew Charleville, 25, of the 100 block of Pinto Circle near Dardenne Prairie, was charged April 4 with two counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said he had arrested Charleville on a warrant for a probation violation, handcuffed him and put in the back of the patrol vehicle. The deputy said that as he talked to another person, Charleville began banging his head on the Plexiglass partition inside the patrol car. 17-Year-Old Punched 13-Year-Old in Eye Twice, Deputy Says

A St. Charles County Sheriff's Deputy said the Randy K. Voerg Jr and the boy argued and Voerg hit the youth in the eye.

A 17-year-old St. Charles County man is accused of punching a 13-year-old boy in the eye on March 8. Randy K. Voerg Jr., 17, was charged March 11 with third-degree assault. His address was listed as being in the first block of Barberry Lane in St. Charles County near O’Fallon. A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy reported that Voerg and the child had a verbal argument in the 100 block of Tee Kay Drive in St. Charles County near O'Fallon. Voerg became enraged, crossed the street and twice punched the 13-year-old in the eye, according to the report. The boy’s eye was swollen and bruised, the deputy said. Defiance Man Indicted for Growing 89 Marijuana Plants, Fleeing From Police

Officials said Scott Heining was investigated for dealing pot and also fled from a Sheriff's deputy on a high-speed chase through residential neighborhoods.

A Defiance man was indicted Friday by a St. Charles County grand jury on drug charges, resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated and multiple other charges. Scott A. Heining 36, of the 2900 block of South Highway 94 in Defiance, faces charges of distributing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance, resisting arrest, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, several charges of exceeding the speed limit by more than 26 mph, and several other misdemeanor and traffic charges. St.. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives said they found 89 marijuana plants growing in Heining’s basement Sept. 4. Detectives reported that Heining had been under a task force investigation. O'Fallon Man Takes Neighbor's Car, Objects to Theft Charge

The man told deputies he committed no crime because he returned the car, despite being told he couldn't take it.

A man stole his neighbor’s car Oct. 29 and drove it to Illinois after the neighbor told him he couldn’t borrow it, police said. A St. Charles County deputy reported that Timothy J. Conway, 24, of Barberry Lane near O’Fallon, asked to borrow his neighbor’s 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. The neighbor told police she refused because she’d known Conway only for two weeks and because he was drunk. She also told him the plates were expired and the tires were bad. At about midnight, the woman noticed the car was gone. Conway told police he took the vehicle, but didn’t feel he committed a crime because he returned it, according to a St. Charles County Sheriff's Department report. O'Fallon Teen Assaulted Entire Family, Deputy Says

The teen tackled his father and crashed through a wooden door, according to a court document.

A 17-year-old assaulted his entire immediate family Aug. 28, according to St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy. Patrick Craven, 17, of Fox Drive in unincorporated St. Charles County east of O'Fallon, was charged Aug. 29 with three counts of third-degree domestic assault. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said Craven was the primary physical aggressor in the assault. According to the deputy’s report, Craven tackled his father and the two crashed through a wooden door. Craven struck his father in the face several times. Craven also shoved his mother and punched his brother in the forehead. The deputy said marks on the father and brother and damage to the house was consistent with their statements. Man Charged With Hitting Deputy During Foot Chase

The accused was on probation for tampering with with a car at the time.

A man faces criminal charges after he struck a law enforcement officer during a foot chase in O’Fallon Aug. 24. Brandon D. Brown Jr, 20, of the first block of Newberry Drive in St. Charles County south of St. Peters, was charged Aug. 28 with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy said in a report that he was chasing Brown on foot near 955 Bryan Road in O’Fallon because Brown had a warrant for his arrest. During the chase, Brown turned and struck the deputy in the chest. The blow caused the deputy to lose his balance, fall and strike his knee on the asphalt, and he nearly was struck by oncoming traffic, the deputy reported. Man Rams Rental Car Causing $10,000 in Damages, Deputy Says

The renter had a full order of protection against the driver, Tyron Scott, police said.

An O’Fallon man was charged with slamming an SUV into a rental car Tuesday, causing an estimated $10,000 in damages. A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy said in a report that Tyron S. Scott, 27, of the 600 block of Eggering in O’Fallon, was upset when he purposely drove his 2000 Nissa Xterra into a 2011 Nissan Altima owned by Hertz Rental Cars. The Xterra is owned by Scott's mother. The woman who rented the car has had a full order of protection against Scott since Jan. 3. She was not in the car at the time. Scott damaged the car outside a residence in the first block of Norwood Drive in O’Fallon, according to the report.
