O'Fallon Man Charged With Punching Stepson in the Face
The man was on probation for violating a protection order and had pleaded guilty in September to domestic assault.
An O’Fallon man faces a criminal charge for punching his 15-year-old stepson in the face Jan. 11. Barry Allen Yardley, 37, of the first block of Chip Drive in O’Fallon, was charged Monday with third-degree assault. O’Fallon Police said Yardley punched his stepson in the face twice on Jan. 11. The officer said the teenager’s face had two red marks and minor swelling. The teen and his mother said they feared Yardley would cause them further harm when he gets out of jail. Police said Yardley has an arrest history for violent crimes. Yardley pleaded guilty Sept. 24 to violating a protection order for an adult as a second offense, and third-degree domestic assault.
