In addition to all the bloody, gory and gruesome Halloween items, there are some things that are just, well, creepy.
It's one thing to make a list of the bloodiest, goriest and most gruesome Halloween items available at the local Halloween store, but we looked for the items that were just plain weird and creepy. We checked the Spirit Halloween store, which has hundreds of square feet of Halloween spookiness, and found a variety of weird and creepy things. Spirit Halloween has hundreds of locations across the country, usually occupying otherwise vacant storefronts in local shopping centers. O'Fallon's Spirit Halloween, located at 220 Megan Ave., opened for the Halloween season in early September. The store is located behind the Dollar Tree store on Highway K. If you're an adult who still loves Halloween, you can get in the spirit with O'Fallon's Haunted Park Hunt. The adult scavenger hunt for ages 21 and older is in Dames Park in O'Fallon from 7–10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19. Participants must register in advance no later than Friday, Oct. 12. No registration will be taken at the gate. All you need is some friends and a flashlight to enjoy the haunted happening. Two-person teams compete to be the first in deciphering clues to win prizes.
