Volunteer for Rhythm and Ribs at SCC  Rhythm & Ribs is a fun-filled evening of live music,mouth-watering food and dancing. The 4th annual event will be held on the St. Charles Community College campus in Cottleville on Friday May 10.  Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the St. Charles West Jazz Ensemble and at 7 p.m., a new Rhythm Revue will feature SCC talent. Smash Band will return, live on the main stage at 8:30 p.m. Proceeds will support scholarships and academic enhancements at SCC.  Ribs will be served by Ethyl’s Smokehouse, Mannino’s Market, Rib City and Stumpy’s Bar-B-Que. Golf Program Tournament Assistants Volunteers are needed to serve as caddies for the participants of our golf program as they celebrate the end of their season Aug. 14 from noon to 4 p.m. Responsibilities include driving participants in golf carts and assisting golfers with their golf bags.  No experience or knowledge of golf is necessary, but volunteer must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift a golf bag. Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring programs exist in most area school districts.

Fort Zumwalt School District The Fort Zumwalt School District is seeking adults over 50 years  of age to share one hour a week during the school day with a child in kindergarten through fifth grade to help build reading skills and self-esteem.
