Commuters should be aware of lane closures this week on Hwy. K near Hwy. N.

  The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will be closing lanes on northbound Highway K in O'Fallon this week. If weather permits, pavement repair crews will be working on various lanes on northbound K between the I-364 South Outer Road and Highway N. City Council Accepts Road Board Funding for Two Major Reconstruction Projects

2013 will bring pavement improvements for Laura Hill Road and a redesigned intersection at Hwy. N and Sommers Road.

The O'Fallon City Council recently approved the use of St. Charles County Road Board funds for two major road projects in O'Fallon: slab replacement on Laura Hill and intersection improvements for Hwy. N and Sommers Road. Pavement on Laura Hill between Highway K and the area near the fire station has been deteriorating, city staff reported. The $143,000 project will include slab removal and replacement, and the addition of a sidewalk along the south side to connect gaps in the existing sidewalk. The city's portion of the project budget is $28,600. The remaining $114,400 will be provided by the St. Charles County Road Board's Transportation Sales Tax (TST) funds. CVS Pharmacy Now Open in O'Fallon

The new store is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Highway K and Highway N.

CVS Pharmacy is now open in O’Fallon. The pharmacy purchased land at the southeast corner of the intersection of Highway K and Highway N, where the On the Run gas station previously stood back in March.  This land, which is owned by Arch Energy, is  subdivided into two lots because a cell phone tower sits on the property. The Mobil On the Run was torn down to make way for the new drugstore.  The Country Club Car Wash, located at 2999 Highway K at the northwest intersection—across from Mobil on the Run's old site—added the gas station's convenience shop to its location. O'Fallon Buffalo Wild Wings Plans Move to New Location on Highway K

The establishment is relocating to the former Old Country Buffet building in front of Target at Laura Hill.

Buffalo Wild Wings plans to relocate its O'Fallon restaurant to another part of town before the end of 2012. According to a news release, the establishment is relocating from  the intersection of Highway K and Highway N, to the former Old Country Buffet building in front of Target at Laura Hill. "We wanted to relocate to gain higher visibility for the brand/ restaurant (current location is hidden pretty well) and obtain sufficient parking (current location’s parking is less than ideal for our guests)," Christina Boehm, Buffalo Wild Wings franchise marketing manager said in email to O'Fallon Patch on Monday. Woman Injured in Crash on Highway K

Accident occurred near Highway N on Saturday, April 7.

An Indiana woman was injured in a car accident on Highway K on Saturday, April 7. Patsy S. Welch, 71, of Fort Wayne, IN., was turning from northbound Highway K onto Highway N and failed to yield to an oncoming car, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report. The report states Welch's car struck the front of a car traveling southbound, driven by Harold R. Moody, 64, of O'Fallon. Welch suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur by St. Charles County Ambulance.
