Three Injured in Multi-Car Crash

The crash took place just before 4 p.m. on Interstate 70 in St. Peters.

Three people were injured in a three-car crash Thursday afternoon in St. Peters.  According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two cars were stopped for traffic ahead on westbound Interstate 70 just east of Mid Rivers Mall Drive just before 4 p.m.. A third vehicle, a 2011 Ford F-250 driven by Gary Sexton, 51, of St. Peters, failed to stop and struck the rear of another vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet F-150 driven by James R. Todd, 27, of O'Fallon. The impact of the crash caused Todd's truck to collide with the first car, a 2001 Mercury Sable driven by Timothy S. Jackson, 22, of St. Charles.  Sexton and Todd were uninjured in the crash and both were able to drive their vehicles from the scene.  Jackson and two passengers …

Pedestrian Hit by Car Along I-70 After Semi Slams Into Disabled Vehicle

Darius L. Walls, of O'Fallon, suffered minor injuries after he was hit by a car along Interstate 70 near the Highway K exit. The three-car crash was a result of a semi-truck hitting a car parked on the shoulder of I-70.

A car with no occupant parked on the shoulder of eastbound Interstate 70 was struck Tuesday evening, injuring a pedestrian, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. At approximately 9:25 p.m., a 2000 Pontiac Firebird was left unoccupied on I-70 near the Highway K intersection in O'Fallon. The highway patrol was unable to identify the owner of the car. A 2012 International Prostar semi-truck driven by Patrick Sheppard, 42, of Ethel, LA, was eastbound also and struck the disabled car. The Firebird then struck a pedestrian, Darius L. Walls, 23, of O'Fallon. A third vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Joseph J. Yates, 25, of O'Fallon, attempted to avoid hitting the disabled Firebird but ending up striking Sheppard's truck. …

O'Fallon Man Unharmed in Crash that Injured a Wentzville Woman

Tasha N. Reading, 25, was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center following a crash last week.

A Wentzville woman was injured on Feb. 13 in a crash in St. Charles County. The second driver in the crash was unharmed.  Tasha N. Reading, 25, was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center following a crash at 6:55 a.m. on Route A and Intersate 70 last week. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, O'Fallon resident Alvin E. Hunsel, 66, was stopped at the exit ramp stop sign. Reading was southbound on Route A and Hunsel failed to yield to her. Hunsel pulled into the path of Reading.  Reading's vehicle, which was totaled in the crash, struck Hunsel's front end. Reading then traveled off the left side of the road and struck a bridge pier.  Reading's injuries were classified as moderate.

O'Fallon Woman Injured In Crash on Interstate 70

Carrie L. Pauk, 43, was injured in a crash on Thursday.

An O'Fallon woman was injured after her car was struck on Interstate 70 on Thursday evening.  Carrie L. Pauk, 43, was stopped in traffic at 5:50 p.m. on westbound Interstate 70 at Interstate 270. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a second car, driven by Curtis R. Barry, 37, of St. Charles, failed to stop in time and struck the rear of Pauk. Both Pauk and Barry sustained moderate injuries in the crash and were taken to St. Joseph Hospital East by Pattonville EMS.  Pauk 2013 Chrysler 200 and Barry's 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier sustained extensive damage in the crash.

O'Fallon Woman Fine After Three-Car Crash on Highway 94

A St. Charles man was injured after a crash Thursday morning.

An O'Fallon woman escaped injury after being involved in a three-vehicle crash last week.  Jessica L. Locke, 26, of O'Fallon, avoided being hurt after a St. Charles motorist hit two cars on Highway 94 at 7:46 a.m. on Feb. 7.  Nicholas R. Montileone, 21, of St. Charles, was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to  St. Joseph Health Center with what the Missouri State Highway Patrol classified as minor injuries after the crash on Highway 94. The crash took place at 7:46 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, in St. Charles County.  According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Montileone was heading eastbound on Highway 94 when he struck the rear of a second a vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Locke. Montileone's 2001 Toyota Celica then …

O'Fallon Woman Injured After Hitting Bus

An O'Fallon woman had minor injuries after being involved in a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning.

An O'Fallon woman was injuried after being involved in a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning.  According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, St. Peters resident Kelly A. Matteson, 40, was heading westbound on Highway 94 east of O'Fallon road just after 8 a.m. Traffic began to slow down and a second driver, Babette S. Grondine, 56, of O'Fallon, failed to observe the slowing traffic.  The front of Grondine's 2000 Mazda Protege struck the rear of Matteson's 2006 IC Corporation Bus. Grondine's vehicle was totaled in the crash and she was taken to St. Joseph's Health Center with minor injuries. Matteson was uninjured in the crash and her vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.  Both drivers were wearing safety devices.

O'Fallon Teen Injured in One-Vehicle Crash

Rain A. Fozzard, 17, of O'Fallon, was injured when a vehicle overturned on Sunday morning.

An O'Fallon teen sustained minor injuries after a crash on eastbound Highway P and Mennemeier Drive.  Rain A. Fozzard, 17, of O'Fallon, was a passenger in a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Anthony M. Selvaggio, 20, of Troy. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Selvaggio's vehicle was heading eastbound on Highway P at 11:40 a.m. of Feb. 3, and failed to maintain a single lane. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.  Selvaggio sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was taken to St. Joseph West Hospital by St. Charles Country Ambulance. Fozzard was also taken to St. Joseph West with minor injuries.  Neither Fozzard and Selvaggio were wearing safety devices in the crash.

O'Fallon Woman Escapes Scary I-70 Car Accident Unscathed

After hitting the concrete median along Interstate 70, Roxanna Logan's car swerved across several lanes of rush hour traffic before stopping on the highway.

A 37-year-old O'Fallon woman sustained just minor injuries after a frightening car accident along Interstate 70 Tuesday morning.  According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Roxanna Logan was driving eastbound on I-70, just west of Cave Springs Boulevard, when two cars driving in close proximity to her collided. One of those cars then spun around and hit Logan's car and both cars struck the concrete median on the busy highway during Tuesday's morning rush hour.  Logan's car, after hitting the median, then traveled across all lanes of the highway before coming to a rest on the shoulder.  Logan was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters via ambulance but was only reported to have minor injuries. Her car sustained moderate damage.

Oh thank God she will be OK. I was praying. When I came by they were pulling her out of the roof onto a backboard. Not sure if it was already a convertible or they cut it off.   more ›

St. Peters Man Seriously Injured in Wreck on I-70 at Bryan Road

Robert Staufenbiel was in his semi-truck on I-70 when a utility truck, salting the highway, failed to notice the stopped semi and hit the towed unit of the truck. Staufenbiel was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A 51-year-old St. Peters man was seriously injured in a car accident along Interstate 70 Monday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, Robert Staufenbiel in his 2002 International 4900 semi-truck on I-70, near the Bryan Road exit in O'Fallon, when a utility truck salting the highway failed to notice the stopped semi and hit the towed unit of the semi. Staufenbiel was taken to St. Joseph East Hospital by St. Charles County ambulance.  Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

Three Injured As Car Drives Across Oncoming Traffic on Hwy. 40 Before Crashing

Jordan Sanders, 18, was driving westbound on Interstate 64/Highway 40, just west of Highway 94, when he traveled through the barrier cables, drove across the eastbound portion of Highway 40 and crashed into a guardrail.

Three people are injured, one in serious condition, after a Hawk Point man drove across oncoming traffic on Highway 40 and crashed his car on the outskirts of O'Fallon Tuesday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jordan Sanders, 18, was driving westbound on the highway, just west of Highway 94, on Tuesday just before p.m. when he traveled through the barrier cables, drove across the eastbound portion of Highway 40 and crashed into a guardrail.  Sanders had two passengers in the car, identified as Gregory Sanders, 51, and Jenna Roof, 17. Both passengers are listed as residents of Troy. Gregory Sanders sustained serious injuries, the highway patrol report said. Both Jordan Sanders and Roof sustained moderate injuries. The…
