Morning Star Hosts Date Night Challenge with Ted Cunningham

The Furnishing Hope Ministry volunteers of Morning Star Church that collected over 170 pieces of furniture from the community on Nov. 3 to be provided to the tornado victims in Joplin.
Morning Star hosts a collection on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A local church is in need of volunteers to donate furniture for tornado victims. Morning Star Church has been involved with post-hurricane and tornado clean-up and rebuild for several years. While much of the reconstruction is complete, the cause is important to church members, because many families still lack the finances to replace lost furniture. "When a home is destroyed, they lose everything and are starting from scratch," Heather Kemper-Hussey, Morning Star director of communications, said. Morning Star is a church located at 1600 Feise Rd. with a growing congregation of more than 4,000 people in attendance for Easter services this year. Church: Morning Star Key to Awesomeness: These Whiz Kids were out despite the heat Monday, July 11 selling lemonade in O'Fallon to donate to Morning Star Church's Joplin Tornado Relief efforts. The group delivered $100 to Morning Star on Tuesday, July 12 and asked that the money be donated to the church's continued Joplin Mission Trips.
