Michael Lee Rone, 43, is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of his wife, Stacy Rone last year.
A jury trial has been set for an O’Fallon man accused of murdering his wife last year. Michael Lee Rone, 43, of O’Fallon, is scheduled to face trial for first-degree murder at 1:30 p.m. July 16 in St. Charles County Circuit Court. O’Fallon Police said Stacy Rone’s relatives found her at the couple’s home in the 1100 block of St. Matthew Avenue, and a medical examiner determined the cause of death was strangulation. O’Fallon Police said investigators determined Michael Rone was the last person to be with Stacy before her body was found. Terry Culberson is accused of murdering Dorothy Hall in early February.
Terry Culberson, the O'Fallon man on the run after being accused of murdering a women in early February, was found in Oklahoma and is now in police custody. Police say Culberson fired several gunshots to the head of Dorothy Hall, 55, of Hayti, MO, in early February. According to KFVS, Culberson was caught by U.S. Marshalls in Love County, OK, on Friday around midnight without a struggle. Love County is about 100 miles north of Dallas, TX. O’Fallon Police detectives discovered Hall’s body in Culberson’s home on Feb. 6, and police said Culberson was the only person inside the home before her death. She had been shot several times. Prosecutors have charged the man with first-degree murder. O'Fallon Police said Terry Culberson threatened the woman and her family the day before the shooting.
Police still are searching for a man charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in Tuesday’s shooting death of Dorothy Hall, 55. Terry Culberson, 63, of the first block of Downing Street in O’Fallon, was charged by St. Charles County Prosecutor’s Office with the crimes Wednesday. Deonta Williamson ended a high-speed chase that began in O'Fallon by ramming a Carutherville police car with a stolen Cadillac Escalade, which killed a police officer.
An O'Fallon man, accused of killing a southeast Missouri police officer, will stand trial in St. Charles, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. According to KSDK, Deonta Williamson, 30, was fleeing police in August 2011 when he slammed a stolen Cadillac Escalade from his parents O'Fallon home into two patrol cars positioned to stop him. Carutherville Officer Evan Burns wasn't able to get out of the patrol car and was killed in the accident. Williamson was granted a move to St. Charles County after a Tuesday hearing before Judge Fred Copeland in Pemiscot County. After an 11-week investigation, the Pleasanton California Police Department announced Friday that the two deaths May 7 on Stacey Court were a murder-suicide. Pleasanton, CA wife and mother Amy Freeman Burton, 37, shot and killed her daughter Ainsley Freeman, 13, and then shot and killed herself, police said. A former Fort Zumwalt student and her mother were shot to death in California. Police don't have a motive, but don't believe a killer is on the loose.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Amy Freeman Burton, 37, and her 13-year-old daughter Ainsley Freeman, a former Fort Zumwalt student, were found shot to death in their San Francisco area home Monday. According to the Danville, CA Patch, Burton's husband, Christopher Burton, reportedly found the victims and called police. Investigators said Burton is not a suspect, but he is a "person of interest" as they try to determine if this is a double murder or a murder-suicide. Today, Patch is reporting there have been no arrests, nor is there a clear motive, but police have said they do not believe a killer is on the loose.
