New O'Fallon Resale Shop Open on Highway P

Denise Neubauer took her online resale to the next level with D's Resale and Consignment.

O'Fallon's newest resale and consignment shop is now open at 472 Hwy. P. D's Resale and Consignment is so new, they don't yet have a sign.  They're easy to find, though, right next door to Hobos in the strip mall at Dames Park. Owner Denise Neubauer took her experience with online resale to the next level by opening the shop, which carries clothing for men, women and children as well as accessories like handbags, shoes and jewelry. The store also sells furniture and household goods. When Patch visited, the store even featured a drum set on display. Consignments are taken for a 50/50 split. The store is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

New Taqueria Moving to O'Fallon

Señora Espiño's Taqueria, a new restaurant from the owners of Chesterfield's Espino's, will open along Bryan Road.

The old Cappucino's location along Bryan Road will soon reopen as Señora Espiño's Taqueria. The owners of the original Espino's location in Chesterfield will be branching out to the new O'Fallon location some time in April. The O'Fallon Espiño's will feature a drive-thru and, unlike the Chesterfield restaurant, will offer breakfast seven days a week, as well as lunch and dinner offerings with appetizers, soups, salads, entrées and desserts. The O'Fallon location will also feature a bar, although it will not have as much dinner seating as the Chesterfield location. O'Fallon Residents React to Ozella's Pizzeria Closing

Readers shared their thoughts on O'Fallon Patch and Facebook.

Ozella's Pizzeria, located at 468 Highway P in O'Fallon, is now closed.  Ozella's opened an O'Fallon location in 2007. According to the website, the restaurant got its start in North County in the late 1950s and was known as "the place for the best pizza in town."  O'Fallon Patch readers voiced mixed reactions to the restaurant's closing on Tuesday.  From O'Fallon Patch: Jim Frain: "It's always a tragedy when a business closes and even more difficult when it is a family business....We are sorry to lose Ozella's Pizzeria. I often wonder what our city could do and should di to help a business that is struggling and getting ready to go under. Hopefully our Economic Development Department will continue to work even harder with businesses and …

As a small business owner, I frequented Ozellas. The service was always good and the atmosphere very friendly and family oriented! I agree, advertising is one of the bigges expenses for a small business since it is priced for chain stores and large business. It's a shame they had to close. I have been in business for 10 years and so many of our guests still ask- "Did you just open?"   more ›
