New R&B Club Planned in Former Bottoms Up Brewhouse Space

The club plans to appeal to a mature costumer base and entertain with a DJ who plays a mix of rhythm and blues, Motown and some newer songs.

O’Fallon residents may soon have another option for local dining and entertainment in the city. Local resident Rudy Zanas applied for a conditional use permit (CUP) to open R&B Club at 2693 Highway K inside Babble Creek Plaza, the former home of Bottoms Up Brewhouse. Zanas requested a CUP to sell and serve alcoholic beverages by the drink.  A public hearing regarding the CUP was held during the April 4 O'Fallon Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Hobo's Plans to Open Second Location in Former Ozella's Pizzeria

The O'Fallon Planning and Zoning Commission approved the request for a conditional use permit for 468 and 470 Highway P.

A St. Peters restaurant and bar is planning to open a second location in O'Fallon.  Hobo’s Restaurant at the Tap, is located at the St. Peters American Legion at 200 Main St. The popular St. Peters establishment offers typical bar fare in addition to frog legs, catfish and fried chicken. Happy hour is from 3- 5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and the bar features live music every Saturday night. Plans Approved to Construct Kiddie Academy Daycare in WingHaven

Concord Properties, LLC plans to develop two vacant lots in Lakeside Shoppes, located at 3002 Winghaven Blvd.

A new daycare is heading to O'Fallon.  The O'Fallon City Council approved a conditional use permit (CUP) for Concord Properties, LLC on Thursday for two vacant lots in Lakeside Shoppes, located at 3002 Winghaven Blvd., to develop a childcare center called Kiddie Academy.  A public comment regarding the conditional use permit was held during the Thursday, Jan. 3. O'Fallon Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. No residents came forward to speak for or against the item.   According to the planning and zoning commission report, Kiddie Academy would accomodate 150 students and 12 employees.  O'Fallon Patch will update as more information is available.

Martial Arts Studio Plans Move to Former Blockbuster on Main Street in O'Fallon

The site plan includes the construction of 18 new parking spaces for Kuk Sool Won Martial Arts Studio.

Kuk Sool Won Martial Arts Studio is planning to move to a larger location in O'Fallon.  The O'Fallon Planning and Zoning Commission approved a site plan to expand the parking lot of the former Blockbuster at 929 North Main St., where the studio plans to move. The plan includes the construction of 18 new parking spaces for a total of 36 spaces.  According to the Planning and Zoning Commission report, the expansion is needed to meet the parking demand at Kuk Sool Won. At the current location at 998 North Main St., there is an overflow of parking into the Walgreens lot during evening classes.  You might also be interested in:

Playoffs Sports Bar & Grill Plans to Re-Open in New Location in O'Fallon

A public hearing regarding a conditional use permit for the bar and grill is scheduled at Thursday night's O'Fallon Planning Zoning Commission meeting.

Playoffs Sports Bar and Grill may open its doors once again in O'Fallon.  The bar and grill that featured karaoke, pool and dart leagues and live music was formerly located at 40 Crossroads Plaza until closing in July 2012. The Playoffs website states: "We are closed for now but plan to reopen very soon in a new and exciting location. No worries, it won't be too far away."
