Extra Patrol, Suspicious Circumstances at Top of O'Fallon Police Calls for April

Man Chased Ex-Girlfriend Around With Gun, Tried to Shoot Her, Police Say

Jerry Beatty, 52, of Wentzville was charged with first degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and burglary first following an incident in O'Fallon on April 26.

A 52-year-old Wentzville man was arrested and charged after police say he repeatedly tried to shoot an ex-girlfiend with a loaded handgun.  Jerry Beatty, 52, of Wentzville was charged with first degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and burglary first following an incident in O'Fallon on April 26.  According to a release from the O'Fallon Police Department, police responded to a domestic assault call in the 100 block of Stage Coach Landing at 9:09 p.m. on April 26. Police said Beatty forcibly entered the home of an ex-girlfriend with a loaded handgun. The woman had an active ex parte order of protection against the suspect.  Police said Beatty grabbed the victim by her hair and shoved her to the floor. The release said Beatty …

Ten-Time Failure to Appear in Court Tops O'Fallon Most Wanted List

According to the O'Fallon Police website, these people have a valid arrest warrant at the time of posting. It does not indicate that the person has been found guilty of any crime.

O'Fallon Police Stats for March: Warrants, Animal Control, Traffic

In March, 78 warrants resulted in 70 arrests for the O'Fallon Police Department.

The O'Fallon Police Department submitted its March report during the April 25 meeting of the O'Fallon City Council. O'Fallon Citizen Police Academy Graduates Learn About Weapons, Investigations

The program helps citizens gain understanding about the inner workings of the O'Fallon Police Department.

Twenty-four people graduated from the O'Fallon Citizen Police Academy (CPA) on April 16. The academy was created to foster good relations between the O'Fallon Police Department and the community of O'Fallon. Graduates of the six-week CPA get a first-hand experience with policing. While in the CPA, the graduates learned about patrol operations through ride-along assignments with O'Fallon police officers. They also received instruction in investigations (criminal, traffic, DWI and crime scene), drug awareness, and the use of force through taser and less-lethal weapons. Graduates toured the department and spent a day at the O'Fallon firearms range for hand-on experience. They learned about the K-9 program, the Community Services Secion and …
