Motorcyclist Arrested After Chase Through O'Fallon Reached 95 mph

Woman weaved in and out of traffic on I-70 Saturday, reaching dangerously high speeds even on city streets, Highway Patrol said.

Patrolmen arrested a St. Peters woman after she led them on a motorcycle chase Saturday on Interstate 70 and down side streets, reaching speeds of 95 mph and more. Amanda Leigh Schlueter, 20, of the first block of Rose Drive in St. Peters, is being charged with resisting arrest. A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper said in a report that when he tried to pull Schlueter over for careless driving and speeding on her motorcycle on I-70 west of Bryan Road in O'Fallon, she refused to pull over. Instead, she traveled at speeds of up to 90 to 95 mph, weaved in and out of traffic, changed lanes “and performed dangerous stunts at a high rate of speed,” according to the trooper’s report. O’Fallon Residents Receive Free Bulk Waste Drop-Off Opportunity

Free quarterly trash drop-off service for large items is available for O'Fallon residents.

O’Fallon residents have the opportunity of free quaterly drop-off service for items that are too large to fit into curbside trash containers this weekend. Items can be brought to O’Fallon’s waste transfer station from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The transfer station is located at 1572 Progress West Lane. Acceptable items include: furniture, carpets, swing sets, bikes, toddler pools, sports and exercise equipment, large hand tools, barbecue grills, fluorescent tubes, computer monitors and televisions. Lawn mowers (except riding mowers) also are accepted, but gas and oil tanks must be empty. Unacceptable items include: yard waste, appliances, tires, auto parts, batteries, gas, oil, and transmission fluid. Other unacceptable …

O'Fallon Landscaping Truck Overturns, Spills Dirt Onto Road

The driver of the landscaping truck was injured in the accident.

A landscaping company truck overturned this morning in the roundabout at Corporate Parkway and the I-64 North Service Road in Lake Saint Louis. The accident closed the roundabout for more than an hour and a half. The truck, which was filled with topsoil, was from Hansen's Tree Service in O'Fallon. "He either cornered too quickly, or he hit that curb," Lake Saint Louis Police Sergeant Paul Bastean said. The truck spilled part of its load of dirt on the roadway, and city crews were working to clear the roadway after the truck was righted and removed about about 10 a.m. The driver, who has not been identified, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.

O'Fallon Man Indicted for Cooking Meth

Man admitted making meth 20 to 30 times in his garage, said St. Charles County Regional Drug Task Force detectives.

An O’Fallon man was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury Friday with making and possessing methamphetamine. A St. Charles County Regional Drug Task Force detective said in a report that a witness said she suspected Shane A. Groenke, 46, of the 500 block of Trudy Lane, was making meth in his garage. Groenke turned himself in for questioning and told police he had made meth in his garage 20 to 30 times for several months through Sept. 15, according to the drug task force report.
