New O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce Office Celebrates Ribbon Cutting Friday
The new office is located at 2145 Bryan Valley Commercial Dr.
The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting for the new O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce Office on Friday afternoon. The ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m. and continues with an open house from 4-8 p.m. Drinks and appetizers will be served. Growth inspired the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to form a search committee for a permanent location for the chamber to expand into and accommodate the needs of their more than 500 members. The search and building committee started looking into new office space for the chamber in late 2011 and after a lot of research found a location at 2145 Bryan Valley Commercial Drive which the Chamber officially closed on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012. O'Fallon Police Host Public Safety Day
See law enforcement equipment up close and learn about safety at the O'Fallon Police Department on Saturday.
The O’Fallon Police Department hosts their third annual Community-Oriented Public Safety (COPS) Day, at the police department from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday. "It's a full family event of entertainment centered around safety," O'Fallon Officer David Goewert told O'Fallon Patch. Goewert said the event event focuses on the different areas of public safety, from the the SWAT team to Neighborhood Watch. During the free event, O’Fallon Police officers will provide department tours, K-9 demonstrations and a variety of other interactive presentations on Saturday. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see a helicopter from St. Louis Metropolitan Air Support, SWAT team equipment, fire trucks and more. Kids’ activities include face painting…

O’Fallon Hosts Open House to Talk I-70, Highways K and M Interchange Improvements
Residents are invited to City Hall on Wednesday to view design options for the interchange improvements and offer their input to city staff.
City officials are hoping to improve the interchange at Interstate 70 and Highways K and M and they want to hear from local residents and business owners. The city is hosting an open house on Wednesday at City Hall from 4-7 p.m. to share plans for improvements to the intersection. Displays showing the results of the I-70 Interchange Concept Study Project will be posted along with design options . Representatives from the engineering firm George Butler and Associates and city staff will also be available to answer questions.
