The St. Dominic girls team record for the season was 28-2 and the boys was 23-5.
For the first time in Missouri history, one local school brought home a state championship win for both its boys and girls varsity teams. The St. Dominic High School soccer teams were recognized for their accomplishments, alongside Coach Greg Keller at the Jan. 10 O'Fallon City Council meeting. The St. Dominic girls team record for the season was 28-2 and the boys was 23-5. Crusader Coach Greg Koeller was also named Coach of the Year in High School Soccer. Jonathan Hoyt Bostic recently earned the Eagle rank, which includes earning 21 merit badges and completing a community service project.
A local student was recognized as a future leader by the O'Fallon City Council on Thursday, Jan. 10. Jonathan Hoyt Bostic recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which requires scouts to earn 21 merit badges, complete a community service project and approval from the Eagle Board Chairman, St. Louis and National Council. The O'Fallon City Council and Mayor Bill Hennessy presented Bostic with a proclamation describing the honor as, "a symbol of patriotism and challenge of the highest magnitude." "Jonathan we are very proud of your accomplishments, for they are what will continue to make you a leader among men," Ward 2 Councilman Jim Pepper said. Joshua Anderson and Logan Funderburk were honored by the O'Fallon City Council on Dec. 13.
Two local Boy Scouts recently helped make O'Fallon's Veterans Memorial Walk a more comfortable place for visitors Joshua Anderson and Logan Funderburk, of Scout Troop 858 Boone Trails Chapter, constructed benches for the walk as part of their Eagle Scout Service Project. Mayor Bill Hennessy presented the scouts with a proclamation honoring them for their "thoughtfulness for others" in planning and building the benches. "It will enhance the Veterans Memorial Walk by providing comfort to visitors for many years," Hennessy said at the City Council meeting on Dec. 13.
