After an O'Fallon family managed to escape their home that caught fire on Monday night, local paramedics rescued two of their pets that were left behind. According to a news release from the St. Charles County Ambulance District, a home in the 700 block of Red Hawk Drive in O'Fallon went up in flames at 8:30 p.m. on Monday night. O'Fallon and Wentzville firefighters extinguished the fire, which started in the basement of the home. Martin Limpert a spokesman for the ambulance district, said that fortunately, all three residents were able to escape unharmed and take one of their dogs with them. I also appreciate all the effort the Fire Fighters and Animal Emergency did in trying to save Huey. Huey was a Beautiful Cat that My Sister Sherri had Rescued from the Animal Shelter and will be Deeply missed by Kenny, Drew and Sherri. I am so sorry Huey did not make it.
