Sign Up For RSC Fiesta Run/Walk and Fitness Festival

The entry fee through May 4 is $20 for ages 14 and younger and $25 for ages 15 and older.

The O'Fallon Parks and Recreation Department is hosting some family Cinco de Mayo fun this weekend with the RSC Fiesta 5K Run/Walk. Ty Joyce, recreation fitness specialist, said proceeds from the event held on Saturday, May 5 at the Renaud Spirit Center will benefit O'Fallon parks. "We have had our 5K annually for about the last five years, but this is the first year for the Cinco de mayo 5K!" Joyce said. This year, participants are also encouraged to enter a Cinco de Mayo costume contest. Joyce said participants are welcome to wear sombreros, ponchos or any other gear that represents the spirit of Cinco de Mayo. Prizes will be awarded for for the top three costumes. Register For O'Fallon Run Walk, Cinco de Mayo Costume Contest

The annual Renaud Spirit Center 5K Run/Walk starts at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5.

Registration is open for the annual Renaud Spirit Center 5K Run/Walk, scheduled for Saturday, May 5. This year’s 5K Run/Walk features a Cinco de Mayo costume contest for participants, with prizes for the top three athletes who best exemplify the spirit of Cinco de Mayo. The costumes will be judged as participants cross the finish line, and an awards ceremony for contest and RSC 5K race winners will be held immediately following the race. Oak Leaf Artist Guild Exhibit On Display in O'Fallon

“Treasures of Oak Leaf,” an exhibit of original oils, acrylics and watercolor paintings by 23 Oak Leaf Artist Guild members, is on display now through Friday, April 6, at O’Fallon’s Cultural Arts Center Gallery in the Renaud Spirit Center . O'Fallon Offers Basketball Training Sessions at RSC

Fort Zumwalt South Coach Jamal Thompson offers private sessions for kids age seven and older.

Whether you’d like to be a basketball star or a more confident team player, you can learn to take your game to the next level with private, one-on-one sessions with Coach Jamal Thompson at the Renaud Spirit Center (RSC) recreation complex in O’Fallon.  A graduate of Harlan Community Academy where he was an All-Conference basketball player, Thompson also earned collegiate varsity letters in both basketball and track and field at North Central College. Now he's the junior varsity girls’ coach for Fort Zumwalt South High School. He is available to train both boys and girls ages seven and older in footwork, shooting, rebounding and more. If you're heading down the aisle soon to say "I do," a new course offered at the Renaud Spirit Center (RSC) may provide the guidance you need to plan an affordable, memorable wedding. Take the guesswork and stress out of planning by enrolling in O'Fallon's new, six-week course, Wedding Planning 101. Designed to help brides-to-be and family members avoid frustration and enjoy the planning process, Wedding Planning 101 begins Jan. 23, with a class meeting from 7:30–8:30 p.m. The course runs for six weeks on Mondays and Tuesdays in the Renaud Spirit Center (RSC), 2650 Tri Sports Circle. The cost is $34 for O’Fallon residents and $39 for non-residents. O’Fallon Photo Club members debut their 2012 exhibit at the Renaud Spirit Center (RSC) this Friday.
