If you're looking for some family fun next weekend, you may want to stop by the Renaud Spirit Center (RSC) in O'Fallon. Residents of all ages are invited to Renaud Spirit Center’s “RSC Family Fun Fair & Art Expo” on Saturday, Sept. 29. Attendees will enjoy a day of free exercising, kids’ activities, live music, food and browsing pieces by local artists at the Art Expo. This is the first year both events are combined for a day full of activities. "The event is centered around family and the O’Fallon community," RSC Office Manager April Croquart said. The O’Fallon Police Department plans to team up with other local law enforcement agencies in August to promote gun safety. Residents are invited to the Gun Lock Give-Away Event on Thursday, Aug. 16 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. O’Fallon Police Officers will be located at the Renaud Spirit Center, 2650 Tri Sports Drive and Extreme Gun Care, 975 West Terra distributing free gun locks. Locks will be provided, and officers will provide demonstrations if necessary. Police ask that no firearms be brought to the event. Lt. Michael Grawitch, of the O’Fallon Police Department, said local law enforcement agencies have been planning this event for nine months in hopes of promoting safe firearm storage for all gun owners.
