Defiance Man Indicted for Growing 89 Marijuana Plants, Fleeing From Police

Officials said Scott Heining was investigated for dealing pot and also fled from a Sheriff's deputy on a high-speed chase through residential neighborhoods.

A Defiance man was indicted Friday by a St. Charles County grand jury on drug charges, resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated and multiple other charges. Scott A. Heining 36, of the 2900 block of South Highway 94 in Defiance, faces charges of distributing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance, resisting arrest, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, several charges of exceeding the speed limit by more than 26 mph, and several other misdemeanor and traffic charges.
