MoDOT: Final Week of Work on Interstate 64 Double Deck Project Downtown

Missouri Department of Transportation reports on the St. Louis work zones for January 10-16.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has started the final week of work on the Interstate 64 double deck project downtown.   Weather permitting, significant lane closures on the eastbound I-64 double deck structure between Pine Street and the Poplar Street Bridge should end by Friday, Jan. 18. Work has begun on a new construction project slightly west of there. Currently, crews are completing utility relocation work for an updated interchange between I-64 and Tower Grove, in partnership with BJC Healthcare and Washington University Medical Center. Crews will be preparing to close the Taylor and Newstead bridges over the interstate on Jan. 21. MoDOT has a full closure of both eastbound and westbound I-64 from Kingshighway to …

Mississippi River Bridge Construction to Close I-70 Lanes Overnight Friday

Missouri Department of Transportation reports its St. Louis work zones for Dec. 13-19.

Drivers heading downtown on Interstate 70 this weekend may want to consider alternate routes as the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will close various lanes on the interstate this weekend. Crews will place girders over the interstate as part of work to connect the future new Mississippi River Bridge to Cass Avenue. The following lanes and ramps will be closed: Friday evening rush period drivers heading into the city may want to consider other routes due to potential congestion on eastbound I-70. Overnight Friday, drivers should allow themselves extra time to get to their destinations, or take alternate routes.   Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

MoDOT to Close Various Lanes in Downtown St. Louis This Week

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports the St. Louis work zones for October 11-17.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) reports all lanes on westbound Interstate 64 will be closed from Broadway to 21st Street Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. One lane of eastbound I-64 remains closed from 20th/Chestnut to 14th Street around the clock until November. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

UPDATE: Blanchette Bridge Eastbound Lane Closure Extension Cancelled

MoDOT does not expect any additional traffic impacts in the eastbound direction during rush hour.

The following information is from a MoDOT news release. Update: MoDOT I-70 eastbound lane closure extension cancelled. MoDOT  will continue to have the normal lane closure eastbound I-70 starting half way across the bridge. The westbound I-70 left lane closure starts at Earth City to the bridge. This left lane closed in each direction is scheduled to continue through Oct. 9. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) continues work on the Blanchette Bridge with an extended eastbound lane closure on Monday afternoon. One lane in each direction has been closed for repairs on I-70 at the St. Louis end of the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge since Friday, Sept. 14.  The eastbound lane closure currently starts about half way across the …

Labor Day Holiday: MoDOT Work Halts Between Friday at Noon to Tuesday at 9 AM

All lanes of eastbound I-64 double-deck structure to close Thursday night.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will close all lanes of eastbound Interstate 64 double-deck structure Thursday night to work on expansion joints under the bridge. All lanes and ramps will close on eastbound I-64 downtown between Jefferson and the Poplar Street Bridge starting at 8:30 p.m., Thursday. Ramps from Forest Park, Ewing and Pine Street to eastbound I-64 will also be closed. One lane will be open by 5 a.m., Friday, with all eastbound lanes open by noon. MoDOT will suspend all construction in all work zones Friday at noon for the Labor Day holiday. Some permanent work zones will remain in place, but work will not resume until Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

MoDOT to Close Lanes on Blanchette Bridge

Missouri Department of Transportation reports the St. Louis Regional Work Zones for August 23-29.

Lanes closed on Blanchette Bridge In St. Charles County, all westbound I-70 lanes on the Blanchette Bridge will close at midnight Friday morning for approximately 30 minutes while crews perform bridge work. Motorists need to avoid this area during this time and use alternate routes. Lanes closed in downtown St. Louis The Missouri Department of Transportation closes two lanes on westbound Interstate 64 this weekend from Broadway to 21st Street starting at 10 a.m., Friday. The second lane will reopen at 3 a.m., Monday. It will close again weekdays from 10 a.m. until 3 a.m. the following morning. Westbound I-64 Closed Downtown This Weekend

MoDOT reports the St. Louis Regional Work Zones for August 9-15.

Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) crews will close all lanes and ramps on westbound Interstate 64 downtown between the I-44/I-55 ramp on the Poplar Street Bridge and 21st Street on the double deck structure this weekend, starting at 10 a.m. Friday to continue work to remove and replace the driving surface. Up to two eastbound lanes will be closed for safety during this work. All westbound lanes, except for the right lane, will be open by 5:30 a.m. Monday, August 12. Lane shifts and lane closures continue on westbound and eastbound I-44 in between Lewis Road and Antire Road as part of a pavement reconstruction project. The changes on I-44 will remain until fall 2012. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

Cardinals Fans: Be Aware of Ramp Closures Downtown

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for August 2-8.

Ramps closed downtown this weekend Cardinals fans heading from the city to westbound Interstate 64 this week should remember that several ramps to westbound I-64 will remain closed until early September. The ramps from Broadway, 10th Street and 14th Street will be closed around the clock. Downtown commuters, to include Cardinal fans, will need to use Pine Street, Jefferson Avenue or Market/Compton to get back onto westbound I-64. Illinois fans coming to the game will be able to use the 9th Street ramp to get into the city from westbound I-64.
