O'Fallon Woman Injured in Accident On Route N

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the two-car accident occurred at Route N and Lake Saint Louis Boulevard on Friday morning.

An O'Fallon woman suffered minor injuries in a car crash early Aug. 31. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jean Gore, 49, of O'Fallon, was driving eastbound on Route N near Lake Saint Louis Boulevard in her 2003 Dodge Durango around 10:53 a.m. The report said Gore struck the side of a 2000 Ford Taurus, driven by Austin Sneed, 16, of Lake Saint Louis, after the car failed to stop at a stop sign. Both sufferred minor injuries and were transported to St. Joseph Hospital West. According to the report, both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

O'Fallon Woman Injured in Crash on Route N

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a passenger was injured over the weekend when the driver struck a car stopped in the middle of the road.

An O'Fallon woman was injured in a two-car crash on Sunday, Aug. 5. Jenifer Otalora, 21, of O'Fallon, parked her 1999 Ford Contour on westbound Route N, near Interstate 64 around 4:25 a.m. on Sunday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she had her hazard lights on due to running out of gas. The report states that Ronald Hesselrode, 64, of O'Fallon, driving his 2006 Chevrolet Aveo westbound, was unable to see Otalora's car and struck the right rear of the vehicle before hitting the median. Otalora and Hesselrode were uninjured. Passenger Kriste Hesselrode, 60, of O'Fallon was transported to  by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. Joseph West Hospital. The report did not state how serious Hesselrode's injuries were.

O'Fallon Police Issue Citations During Red Light Enforcement

Police issue 36 citations at two intersections.

O’Fallon Police  recently conducted a red light violation enforcement that lead to 36 citations. Two teams of officers worked for four-hours on April 24 at the intersections of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway at Bryan Road and Highway K at Highway N. According to police, these intersections are both high violation areas and in the top five for intersections with the highest number of crashes. During the detail, officers conducted 35 traffic stops, issuing 26 red light or failure to yield right of way on green light violations. One person was charged with driving when license revoked. What a bunch of BS. I used to be for the enforcements which are not a bad idea, sure better than red light cameras, however the most amount of accidents are not at Hwy K and N nor at VMP and Bryan Rd. Woman Airlifted to Hospital After Crash on Route N

Crash happened near O'Fallon on Tuesday.

A St. Charles woman was taken by helicopter to Barnes Jewish Hospital Tuesday night after she crashed her car on Route N, north of Brassel Drive. Joanna B. Spielberg, 42, was driving on Route N around 10:55 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. Her injuries were classified as serious and she was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital by Arch Helicopter, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report..

Public Meeting Planned to Discuss New Route 364

Page Phase 3 Design-Build Contract to start in early 2013.

The third phase of Route 364, the Page Avenue extension, through the heart of St. Charles County is funded for construction to start in 2013. The project’s location from Route 94 and Mid Rivers Mall Drive to Route N and I-64 has been approved for nearly 20 years.   Residents, businesses and commuters interested in learning about Route 364 Page Phase 3 are invited to attend a public meeting from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the St. Charles Community College Rotunda. O'Fallon Police Issue Citations During Red Light Enforcement

O’Fallon Police  recently conducted a red light violation enforcement that lead to 27 citations.  Two teams of officers worked for four-hours on Oct. 3 at the intersections of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway at Bryan Road and Route K at Route N. According to police, these intersections are both high violation areas and in the top five for intersections with the highest number of crashes.  During the detail, officers conducted 28 traffic stops, issuing 18 red light or failure to yield right of way on green light violations. Two drivers were arrested for outstanding warrants and one person was charged with Driving While Suspended.    Funding for this effort was provided through a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Highway …

I would have to agree. There have been times where I have seen someone run a red light and think to myself, man I wish I was the police. Its either their not paying attention or their in a hurry and just don't want to stop. Don't be one of those people that says man I should have stopped, when its already too late.   more ›

O'Fallon Police Conduct Red Light Enforcement

On Wednesday, police monitored O'Fallon intersections high in number of violations and crashes.

O’Fallon Police cracked down on red light violations earlier this week at the intersections of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway at Bryan Road and Routes K and N.  The enforcement was funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Division in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Missouri Safety Center. Police say the focus was to stop and enforce red light and failure to yield right of way violations in intersections that are high in violations and in the top five with highest number of crashes in O'Fallon.  During the Aug. 23 detail, between 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., two teams of officers worked at both intersections and conducted 59 traffic stops.
