An O’Fallon man faces criminal charges after police said he violently shook a baby, chased the baby’s father with knives and assaulted three police officers as he was being booked on Sunday. O’Fallon Police said Marcus Withers, 20, of the 600 block of Southernside Lane in O'Fallon, was arguing with another man when he grabbed a car seat holding the man’s 6-month-old son and shook it violently. The man told Withers not to touch his son. Withers went inside his home, retrieved two knives and went back outside and chased the man around the apartment complex, according to a police report.
