A man faces drug and handgun charges after the St. Charles County Drug Task Force searched his St. Charles County home near O’Fallon, police said. Brian Whaley, 36, of the first block of Laura Drive in St. Charles County near O’Fallon, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of handguns. A Drug Task Force detective said Whaley had been under investigation by the drug task force, which executed a search warrant on his home Nov. 20. Acccording to court documents, the search discovered eight foil devices used to smoke methamphetamine and eight handguns. An O’Fallon man who was on probation sold marijuana and ecstasy to an undercover officer three times in three months, according to the St. Charles County Drug Task Force. Charles Jamison, 31, of the 7100 block of Fireside Court in O'Fallon, was charged Oct. 18 with three counts of distributing controlled substances. Drug Task Force detectives said Jamison sold 6.5 grams of marijuana to an undercover officer for $120 June 5. He also sold the officer ecstasy on July 24 and 6.1 grams of marijuana for $120 Aug. 21, detectives said. All the transactions took place in the 2100 block of Martin Drive in O’Fallon, according to court documents. A St. Charles man sold two pieces of gravel to an undercover detective, telling him the rocks were raw heroin. A St. Charles County Drug Task Force report said the man doctored the gravel to resemble heroin. A close visual inspection and field tests revealed the substance was not heroin, detectives said. Ryan T. Beasley, 29, of the 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive in St. Charles, was charged Wednesday, with delivery of an imitation controlled substance. Detectives said the undercover officer met Beasley near Time Centre Apartments in St. Charles and bought the fake heroin from him for $60. A St. Charles County man was charged July 24 in with attempting distribute heroin and illegal possession of several prescription drugs. Laron Miller, 33, of the 100 block of Oakfield Drive in St. Charles County in the O'Fallon area, faces one count of attempting to distribute heroin and four counts of possession of illegal possession of prescription medications. According to a St. Charles County Drug Task Force report, detectives executing a search warrant found Miller had several controlled substances: Drug Task Force members said Harris also had a blender, scales, capsules, pips and plastic bags all used to sell or use heroin. A St. Louis County man was arrested after the U.S. Postal Service found a package bound for O’Fallon contained 2¼ pounds high-grade marijuana. Lorenzo D. Carter, of the 2300 block of Rockdale in St. Louis County, was charged Friday in St. Charles County Circuit Court with attempting to distribute marijuana. A St. Charles County Drug Task Force report said a postal inspector told them a federal warrant had been issued for a package addressed to a home in the 500 block of Lake Drive in O’Fallon. Task force detectives had the package delivered to the address. Once the package was accepted, they executed the search warrant. Three people were charged Thursday with making and possessing methamphetamine in O’Fallon after authorities received a tip about a meth lab. Charged with making and possessing methamphetamine were: Acting on a tip, St. Charles County Drug Task Force members went to a mobile home July 10 on Thoroughbred Drive in O’Fallon and saw two men leave the house and get in a pickup truck. As detectives drove past the house, they smelled a strong chemical odor from cooking meth, according to a task force report. The St. Charles County Drug Task Force arrested three O’Fallon residents in a string of methamphetamine-related charges last week. A couple was charged Wednesday with making methamphetamine in their O’Fallon home, where five children lived with them. Travis D. Stanfill, 33, and Mandy R. Heath, 32, of the 2000 block of Collier Boulevard, each were charged with making and possessing meth and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. A St. Charles County Drug Task Force member said in a report that detectives found a meth lab in the home Tuesday while executing a search warrant. They found an active “one-pot” meth lab and chemicals used to make meth. The couple had five children living in the home with them, ages 12, 10, 8, and 7 years old and 11 days old.
