Ralph Barrale has worked since 1998 to see Veterans Memorial Parkway stretch across the entirety of St. Charles County.
The Wentzville Board of Aldermen, voted on Wednesday to change the name of the the last remaining piece of Interstate 70's South Service Road to Veterans Memorial Parkway. According to city staff, the process is also being undertaken for sections of South Service Road in unincorporated St. Charles County and the City of Foristell. The quest to rename the roadway was a project that World War II veteran Ralph Barrale had taken on in 1998. St. Peters was the first city to approve Ralph's request for the change to Veterans Memorial Parkway. When it comes to restaurants, O'Fallon has plenty. O'Fallon has some local places that many would consider community gems, some restaurants that aren't exactly mom-and-pop but are unique to the area and O'Fallon certainly have plenty of chains lining our main streets. The family-owned Daddy Ray Burgers shop is located at 8814 Veterans Memorial Parkway.
Daddy Rays Burgers is now expected to open Wednesday, Sept. 26. Owner Jason Boergadine told O'Fallon Patch the date was pushed back from Sept. 19 last week. On Monday, a sign outside the shop read: "Finally Open Wed. 9/26 at 11" For 40-years, Jason's grandpa Ray Morris enchanted his entire family with his famous cooking. When he passed away in 2012, along with fond memories, he left his family his burger recipe. Jason decided to open a family-owned burger joint, featuring his grandfather’s recipe. The burger joint focus on to-go orders and carry-outs. There is no indoor seating, but Jason said there is a small patio outside. Eventually, the owner hopes they will branch out into deliveries. For 40-years, Jason's grandpa Ray Morris enchanted his entire family with his famous cooking. When he passed away in 2012, along with fond memories, he left his family his burger recipe. A local man pays tribute to his beloved grandfather, by sharing his burger recipe with O’Fallon.
O’Fallon resident Jason Boergadine remembers his grandfather as a fun-loving guy who was passionate about his family and barbecuing. Police issue 36 citations at two intersections.
O’Fallon Police recently conducted a red light violation enforcement that lead to 36 citations. Two teams of officers worked for four-hours on April 24 at the intersections of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway at Bryan Road and Highway K at Highway N. According to police, these intersections are both high violation areas and in the top five for intersections with the highest number of crashes. During the detail, officers conducted 35 traffic stops, issuing 26 red light or failure to yield right of way on green light violations. One person was charged with driving when license revoked. Two teams of officers worked for four-hours on Oct. 3 at the intersections of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway at Bryan Road and Route K at Route N. According to police, these intersections are both high violation areas and in the top five for intersections with the highest number of crashes. During the detail, officers conducted 28 traffic stops, issuing 18 red light or failure to yield right of way on green light violations. Two drivers were arrested for outstanding warrants and one person was charged with Driving While Suspended. On Wednesday, police monitored O'Fallon intersections high in number of violations and crashes.
O’Fallon Police cracked down on red light violations earlier this week at the intersections of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway at Bryan Road and Routes K and N. The enforcement was funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Division in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Missouri Safety Center. Police say the focus was to stop and enforce red light and failure to yield right of way violations in intersections that are high in violations and in the top five with highest number of crashes in O'Fallon.
