Jerry Beatty, 52, of Wentzville was charged with first degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and burglary first following an incident in O'Fallon on April 26.
A 52-year-old Wentzville man was arrested and charged after police say he repeatedly tried to shoot an ex-girlfiend with a loaded handgun. According to a release from the O'Fallon Police Department, police responded to a domestic assault call in the 100 block of Stage Coach Landing at 9:09 p.m. on April 26. Police said Beatty forcibly entered the home of an ex-girlfriend with a loaded handgun. The woman had an active ex parte order of protection against the suspect. Joshua Middleton is charged with 27 counts of Burglary 2nd degree and one count of a Theft/Stealing of over 500 dollars.
An O'Fallon man is charged with burglarizing several vacant local homes. Earlier in January, the O’Fallon Police Department requested the public's help in keeping an eye out for suspicious activity, after a rash of vacant home burglaries during the past month. Thieves were targeting copper pipes in basements. According to O'Fallon Police, Joshua Middleton, 23, O'Fallon, admitted to burglarizing vacant foreclosed homes in O’Fallon and the surrounding area. On Jan. 12, the O’Fallon Police Department received a call from a citizen in the area of the 300 block of Copper Tree Ct., regarding a subject looking in the windows of a vacant home before leaving the area in a truck. STLtoday reports 17-year-old Arthur A. Sauer III, of Troy, is charged with three felonies.
A 17-year-old Troy man is charged with three felonies and three misdemenors after leading police on a high-speed chase down Highway 79 near O'Fallon on Monday, according to STLtoday.com. The article states that police saw Arthur A. Sauer III, 17, Troy, driving 103 miles per-hour on southbound Highway 79 and when they attempted to pull him over he sped up to 112. STLtoday reports Sauer attempted to turn onto T.R. Hughes Boulevard in O'Fallon, but missed the turn, ran over road signs and hit a median, yet still continued driving until eventually one of his rear tires fell off on Highway K.
