Leonard Albert James, 72, of O'Fallon will face charges that he subjected the young girl to sexual contact.
A trial date has been set for an O’Fallon man accused of molesting and sodomizing a young girl last year. Leonard Albert James, 72, of the 300 block of San Jose Drive in O’Fallon, was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury last October on three counts of first-degree child molestation and two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy. James' trial has been scheduled for 9 a.m. May 21 at the St. Charles County Circuit Courthouse. O’Fallon Police said James subjected a girl less than 12 years old to sexual contact on three occasions and he had deviate sexual intercourse with her on two occasions between Feb. 3 and Oct. 14, 2012. Pedro Chavez, 24, will stand trial April 22 for first-degree burglary and two counts of attempted child molestation.
A trial was set for an O’Fallon man accused of attempting to molest a child in O’Fallon July 7. A jury trial was set for 8:30 a.m. April 22 at the St. Charles County Courthouse for Pedro Chavez, charged with two counts of attempted child molestation and one count of first-degree burglary. O'Fallon Police said Pedro Chavez, 24, O'Fallon, attempted to molest a 13-year-old victim at her home, before leaving. Police say he later re-entered the home and approached the victim again after the child’s mother left for work. Chavez is being held in St. Charles County jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash bond. A St. Charles County man was sentenced Friday to five life sentences after pleading guilty to molesting three children and possessing child pornography. Harley J. Smith, 37, of St. Charles County, pleaded guilty Aug. 28 to four counts of statutory sodomy, two counts of first-degree child molestation, one count of statutory rape, one count of statutory rape, sexual misconduct involving a child and two counts of child pornography possession. St. Charles County Circuit Court Judge Ted House on Friday sentenced Smith to five life sentences plus 34 years in prison on the charges. The crimes took place between October 2008 and January 2012. according to court documents. Each of the three children were less than 12 years old during the crimes.

An O’Fallon man was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury Friday on two counts of attempted child molestation and first-degree burglary. Pedro Chavez, 24, of the 200 block of Casalon Parkway in O'Fallon, is charged with two counts of attempted child molestation and first-degree burglary. O’Fallon Police said Chavez tried to molest a 13-year-old girl before he left the house in his neighborhood July 7. He waited until the mother left the home and re-entered the home and approached the girl again, police said. He is being held in St. Charles County Corrections in lieu of a $100,000, cash-only bond. An O’Fallon man was charged Thursday with having sex with an 11-year-old child. Noel Salazar-Reyes, 41, of the 2300 block of Oak Path Drive in O’Fallon, faces two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and two counts of first-degree child molestation. O’Fallon Police said in a report that the encounters took place on July 28 and July 29 at Salazar-Reyes’ home. Bond was set at $100,000. The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on Cody L. Bonecutter, 18, O’Fallon, for molesting a 10-year-old.
An O'Fallon man is charged with statutory sodomy, after police say he engaged in "deviant sexual intercourse" with a 10-year-old victim. O'Fallon Police responded to a call of child molestation on at 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7. According to police, the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on Cody L. Bonecutter, 18, O’Fallon. Bonecutter is charged with six counts of statutory sodomy, with a $100,000 dollar bond. The incidents occurred between July 13, 2012 and Aug. 3, 2012. The O’Fallon Police Department is requesting if there are other victims, they contact Detective Luke Smyka, at 636-379-5664.

According to O'Fallon Police, Pedro Chavez, 24, allegedly broke into a home and tried to molest a 13-year-old girl on Tuesday.
An O'Fallon man is charged with burglary and attempted child molestation on Wednesday. The O’Fallon Police Department received a call on Tuesday morning regarding an attempted child molestation and burglary in the 200 block of Casalon Parkway. According to police, Pedro Chavez, 24, O'Fallon, allegedly attempted to molest a thirteen year old victim at the home, before leaving. Police say he later re-entered the home and approached the the victim again. The St Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on Chavez a for two counts of Attempted Child Molestation and Burglary 1st Degree, with a $100,000 dollar bond.
